Bronze DofE Expedition

Embark on an unforgettable Bronze DofE Expedition that combines adventure and sailing! Over the course of two days, you will complete your RYA Start Yachting qualification while fulfilling the expedition requirement for your Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.

What to Expect on Your Bronze DofE Expedition:

• Day 1: Your adventure begins with a safety briefing and berthing practice on the first morning. Once prepared, you’ll set sail in The Solent, one of the UK’s best sailing destinations, making your way to the evening’s anchorage.
• Day 2: Continue your journey as you work through the RYA Start Yachting syllabus, learning key sailing techniques and navigation skills. The expedition also gives you the chance to bond with your team, working together to achieve your group goal.

Your Expedition:

• You’ll be guided by an experienced instructor who will ensure you cover all elements of the RYA Start Yachting course.
• The final day concludes with a debrief from your assessor, where you’ll present your group goal and receive feedback on your expedition.
• Before the expedition, we will help you organise your meal plan and finalise your team’s objective, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the adventure ahead.

This 2-day Bronze DofE Expedition offers an exciting way to gain your sailing certification while developing teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills—all essential for your DofE Award.

Course Outcomes
