Let our experienced coaches hop on board your own boat to help improve your sailing knowledge! This is a coaching and development course primarily aimed at those who want to improve their confidence and fluency in boat handling under power or sail. However, it is also a great opportunity for inexperienced crew to get more practical experience of being aboard and contributing to the working of the boat.
On the course you might revisit topics such as tide and wind awareness; manoeuvring around marinas and in confined spaces, leaving and returning from your berth, setting up lines to spring on and off, and dealing with handling characteristics caused by such phenomena as prop walk and windage.
You might want to go a little further, and conduct a passage under the watchful eye of an experienced skipper – on board to guide, advise and help you to develop your skills and decision-making.
