We understand that sometimes you want to learn in the familiar environment of your own boat and with people you know. We are not only instructors who can develop your skills from our vast experience but we also understand the concerns boat owners have in certain situations, which can effect confidence.
Duration of training is flexible, from half days through to multiple days.
Please speak to us for requirements outside the local Solent area as there could be an extra charge to cover the instructor’s travel from Haslar to where the boat is based.

For Building Skills Afloat
Own boat tuition is a great way to learn skills adapted to you and your vessel. We offer personalised & bespoke tuition on your own boat. Andrew Simpson Yachting is often approached by people wanting to be more confident manoeuvring their vessel in tight situations such as on and off pontoons and we can arrange sessions for this. We are also able to support people who may be completely new to boat ownership and have plans to travel further afield. We even get approached by owner who have owned boats for years, but know they still have lots to learn. You may want to learn more about the maintenance of your boat, how the electronics and navigation work or even extend your sailing techniques. Simply, we will work around your needs and encourage you to develop as owner and skipper.
